The high-light of my little trek around the Bay – almost two years back now – was having the pleasure of meeting Doug McConnell who I am now fortunate enough to call a friend. Doug’s Emmy winning show, Bay Area Back Roads, was an all-time favorite of mine when I moved to SF in 1993 and now, after a short hiatus, Doug is back in our living rooms with Open Road with Doug McConnell. If you love everything that makes the Bay Area one of the worlds most unique and beautiful outdoor destinations then you must tune in on Sunday’s at 6:30pm on NBC. You will be surprised by the magical finds he will introduce you to and will be planning your own excursions before the credits come up at the end of the show. On May 17th, episode one will be re-airing so if you missed it the first time around here is your second chance!!!
